Photography is my passion. Freefall photography opens up a whole new opportunity to explore human interaction in a natural environment and experience the pure joy of flight. I am very fortunate to be able to jump on the east coast of NSW in Australia with its numerous small islands dotted off the coast line and with the opportunity for beach landings. Coffs Harbour has one of the most beautiful dropzones in the world with Port Macquarie a close second. Jumping with tandems affords me the opportunity to experience the thrill of freefall as depicted by the expressions of tandem passengers on their first jump. After deploying my canopy I invariably fly around looking for other photographic opportunities. There are several categories depicted on my site - freefall with tandems, solo dives, special events and land or seascapes (Mother Earth). The thrill of the first jump. One of the most beautiful areas to skydive in the world with beach landings (I have experienced freecall in 7 countries all over the world and this rates as number 1).

Port Macquarie Tandems

Out of a Bell 427 helicopter. Pure joy just letting yourself plummet from the open door of a helicopter with no prop wash to speak of. The wind rush only starts after 500 ft of falling as speed increases.

I fortunately regularly get the opportunity to jump in Port Macquarie which has its own quiet beauty with the Hastings River flowing through town and its myriad of yacht moorings.

Bell 427. A weekend of fun jumps out of a helicopter from 10000 ft. Pure adulterated fun was had by all.

Unfortunately I was injured on the day but managed to get these shots from a smaller helicopter hovering besides the larger Bell at 10000ft and captured the photos with my Canon 5D Mark II and a 400 mm lens. A great experience.
